Mango(Mangifera indica) is my favourite fruit. It is native to South Asia. FYI, Mango is the national fruit of India. I love it because it's so yummy ;)
This variety is called Kalmi : it is huge, delicious and pinkish-red&yellow in colour.
I came across this Drawing challenge on Steemit so thought of becoming a participant.
Here we go:
- Material used : Conté à Paris colours pastels, 2B & 8B graphite, Charcoal white pencils, ; on A4 canvas embossed paper.

Rough figure plotted.
Started colouring with base-colour as yellow.
Base-colour filled.
Foundation strengthened with more yellow.
ready to begin the second layer of red.
simultaneously, one side blended with green (generally, mangoes are ripe from lower ends)
Now that the second layer is complete we would add a third layer of yellow again. This time scraping in one direction.
- Penultimate : adding the shadow.
- Finally, the signature ;)
