Interesting idea. I think it’s worth exploring.

Storage itself is incredibly cheap now, and the cost has dropped massively over the past few years. The bigger thing to think about probably isn’t raw storage, but the surrounding costs: caching, bandwidth, indexing, backups, retrieval speed, and how often that data needs to be accessed.

So from a cost perspective, storing the data may not be the hard part. The real question is how the system is designed around it.
