It's been a while since I had my stone plots active. I activated them for the cards. But then I pivoted back into grain, mainly, working with a buddy of mine - he provides the cards via delegation, I provide the plot and totem. I calculated the worth of each plot, and we split the profits accordingly. It's more or less 60% for him for the cards, 40% for me for the plot and totem.
Today, I looked into the BLT and a surprise was waiting - Stone is at 1.09 grain factor! Meaning, it's almost making profit to use quarries and trade the stone for grain! And even Iron is following closely!
Okay, it's not the best news. It's not because those resources went up in price, but because Grain went down dramatically. From 22.22 DEC/1k Grain in December 2025 to 7.76 DEC/1k Grain right now.
Meanwhile, the other resources did not lose as much relative value. Hence, the Grainfactor went up for them.

It means that all land assets are losing value. Rapidly. For now.
This is a calculation I made around a month ago, when we were setting up the cooperation-plots, using Beta Rare RF cards. ROI of around 7.5%. Back in April, the ROI of a very similar plot was around 12%.
This is what it would look like today:
ROI dropping another 1.2% - and that is only thanks to the reduction in card costs. If I only changed the DEC price and the DEC/1k grain, it would be 4.5% ROI left on what we established a month ago.
As mentioned, all Land-Assets have lost value. Not just the resources.

Praetoria is being worked on. We just got a release of a lot of cards, but unfortunately, I don't quite see the benefit to land resources for now. They will benefit the DAO, re-financing the land endeavor and bring some fancy stuff like skins and custom made cards to the ecosystem.
Luckily, they won't cause too much resource inflation, either. Grain might suffer a bit as the cards will reduce grain consumption by up to 20% if the plot is under 20k PP (boosted I guess). Same goes for DEC staked.
It's not really what land needs right now. That would be a sink - like buildings. And more labs and refinement options. Which are coming as far as I know! And those will be the real game changers.

The market is doing what it does best. Stone was priced too high, so everybody started producing, the price fell into the unprofitable region. Meanwhile, Grain price soared, so everyone and their grandma pivoted into grain plots. Now grain price is plummeting, meanwhile sinks for other resources and speculation for future use held other resources stable, so they're more worth in relation to grain.
The invisible hand of the market.
Will I pivot back into stone? Not yet, at least not taking cards of my grain plots. There are three "natural" modifiers in play:
-10% taxes
-10% Resource swap
+10% terrain bonus
Without any other bonuses, I will have to wait for a grain factor of 1.10 or more for stone - then I'll make more of stone than of grain. And given the current card prices, I might just go and buy some more cards for the stone/iron plots.
