By now, I think I've acquired all the skills that I need in the basics. At the moment, due to my situation, I'm learning a lot more about legal procedures and laws and all that stuff, by need. Would like not to have to learn it. But it also broadens my spectrum of thoughts and perspectives, and helps me understand the culture here even better as I'm using the perspectives that I previously gained, too.

I'm also working on more knowledge within Excel to have the business run more smoothly, with less effort, and hence either save money or be able to invest more time in growth. Done great progress on that so far.

Because "exceptional" really just means better than average and since most people aren't going to put any practice into most things, it is possible to be better than average in many things.

I disagree with that definition of exceptional. By that definition, everyone who practiced Martial Arts for a month would be exceptional, as they did more than the average who do nothing about it. But in reality, they're measured by their peer group, meaning other Martial Artists. And within those, you have even more rankings, with that whole belt nonsense. An exceptional martial artist has to stick out from the 9th Dan Black belts. An exceptional green belt has to stick out from all the other green belts. Taking all of humanity as the comparison pool is like handing out participation trophies.

Discomfort isn't a negative, it is a necessary factor for growth.

Totally agree on that one. The fear of discomfort is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons for society being so disrupted these day. It's seen as an absolute negative, not as a motor for change and prosperity.
