I'm still thinking about getting a few of those garbage-pick-up-sticks from my home or have somebody bring it (I haven't seen them in Ecuador), and start a non-profit-trash-picking company. We have many beggars around, and sometimes people who actually want to work among them (rarely, unfortunately). The argument would be to have people sponsor a few hours of trash picking instead of giving it to professional beggars.

The part about physically ugly beings making themselves loved by character is very true. Made me smile. Thanks for that!
