Blackberries are a staple here in Ecuador, there are many varieties and they're delicious and very thorny. And the flowers are beautiful.

Once they're in, they never get out, though. I once tried to take out a bush for my grandma. Took me a few times until I really got all the roots. And I was scratched so much she felt bad and gave me some extra money :-D
