Wow. That's some tree. Have you counted the rings? Probably not, given the amount of work the cutting implied... But maybe keep a slice from the trunk, let it dry, clean it, sand it and then hang it up in the living room.

We had one of those at high school. It was from a 200 or 300 year old tree that had a similar fate. There had been a project from the school to mark the important events in our history on the corresponding ring. The world wars, Napoleon wars, founding of Germany... It was quite awesome to see.
