I can’t say that today was my favorite day. Usually it is one of my favorites, Lily’s birthday. But just not being there with her is a drag already. Then her mom, changing rules of engagement last minute, having me trying to organize my whole family for a call as she suddenly decided we only got one call. But the call itself was quite pleasant, as you can read here. Hard on the emotions afterwards, but during the call it was nice to see the little one, and have the family in the same frame.
The rest of the day was not the best. Just one thing after the other, was it is sometimes. Problems with one of our coworkers, who didn’t communicate at all about a couple of things that caused distortion. Nothing too serious, but enough to write her an angry message to remind her of just letting us know. Everything is easier if communicated in time.
Then the car issue. Apparently there’s a new rule that I can only get the new matriculation card in the canton where the car was first matriculated. Which is on the other side of Ecuador. Really not fun. A stupid and unnecessary rule after allowing too much corruption, and then trying to steer against, but going far too extreme. Governments with unqualified personal in charge…
