My name is Saida Bee and I like to make art, I do draw portraits too but my favourite thing to create when in a mood for art in both paint and pavement are my abstract character paintings and chalk doodles, I do the chalk ones very quick unless it鈥檚 quiet (mainly to try and not take up too much space on the path 馃槅)
I started by making an abstract piece and after a friend pointed a character out in one of my pieces I would study my paintings really closely just to make sure I didn鈥檛 miss a character like that again (I almost painted over him) and started drawing them out
Pretty soon after I started to see shapes on the pavement and seafront in Southend and Westcliff on Sea and I started capturing them with chalk. I鈥檝e also done the odd few around London when on one of my wanders.
If you live in the Hackney wick area (or Stratford) you might see one of my little tiles I put out (these ones are in a new Scribble style I was trying out, I also did some with mindful messages on.
