Happy pleasant weekend to you allπ
Over here in my country, weekends are mostly set aside for parties. We work from Monday to Friday and leave all the partying to either Saturday or Sunday.
The pictures I will be sharing for this week's phone photography contest were pictures I took while at a friend's party.
If you follow my blog, you should know that when I say party, I'm referring to weddings. Yep, I'm a sucker for romance and happily ever after π.
Well, this particular wedding ceremony was not the regular type that I was used to. It was actually a Nikkah and I must say that I learnt something new from the event.
A Nikkah is a form of Islamic white wedding. Of course the bride dresses in white, has a veil and she marches down the aisle but the groom is dressed differently in robes that show affluence.
The wedding was fun all the way and even though I didn't understand much of the things that happened at the event, the most important things were that the couple were joined successfully and I had a plate of beautiful jollof rice to celebrate with them π.
So my entries this week won't be about nature and flowers but about my experience at a Nikkah for the first time.
Here are my entry photosβ¦..
I don't have permission to post the pictures of the bride and groom for special reasons. So I simply shared pictures from the event. Isn't that meal mouthwatering? π
Thank you all for reading.
Images are mine.
