I have only ever tried to be myself; I don't put on a show or play a part for other people, I am simply the person ,I am and while I may change behavior to suit the situation like a business or formal setting or a wedding or social event, at the core of me is the same person and that person seems to have made enough favorable and lasting impressions upon people so why change?

I don't know what endears me to others or makes them see me as special, only that a small group of people see me that way.

What's more important to me though is that I am true to myself, my core beliefs and ideals, that I am honest with myself which means I am honest with others and that I act in ways which are positive for myself and those in my close circle or those I interact with more generally. I try to be a good person, my idea of a good person, and work towards that as a goal. I feel that if I do it enough people will see me clearly, who I truly am as a person, and will respond in kind.

I don't set out in life to be special to anyone, it's most important to me that I live by my own standards and those standards are not harmful to others or myself and that I feel I am doing the right things to make me happy within myself; If I can do that, then I think who I am will shine through, people will see it and respond.

Am I special to some people? Yes, I know I am to a few, and that helps me try even harder to be the best person I can be and I think that's one of the keys that unlocks self-contentment, happiness and fulfillment in life.
