I caught my man talking to Jasmine a few days ago, chatting her up and telling her how nice she was looking, and I didn't even get jealous, I thought it was kind of cute actually. Besides, she really was, and is, looking cute.
Jasmine is our, not so creatively named, jasmine vine and she's just starting to bloom. She's early to be honest, but our weather has caused nature to do some odd things lately so I'm not at all surprised. I don't mind either, she looks so pretty and her scent is divine.
Today I cut a small sprig, it's ok, I asked her first, and took a few pictures before putting the blooms into a little vase which I placed on my bedside table. I love bringing the outdoors indoors, it extends my enjoyment of my garden and nature itself.
I've been missing being out in the garden, the bad weather has prevented it, although I've been out here and there to spend a little time with my plants where possible. It was on one of those occasions when I caught my guy talking to Jasmine...I think he misses the garden too and took advantage of the break in the weather to go and say hello to our plant-friends. He's a cool guy really, not one you'd expect to do such things, but one who certainly does, and I love that about him, how connected to nature he is.
These are the images I took and despite not turning out at all like I'd planned I think they're suitable to share here with the community. I'll get to enjoy the real thing as jasmine continues to bloom and before long I'll be back in the garden on glorious sunny days spending time with my guy and our plant friends.
