It would probably be far more interesting to say I had an exciting weekend but I don't have any need to seem interesting to anyone but my guy, who definitely finds me so, and that's why I'm going to tell the truth and say, this weekend I did not much but it was good enough.
It also wasn't my weekend but, our weekend, because I had my guy along for company throughout and we focused on spending quality time together to the exclusion of everyone else; selfish? Yes it was and we're ok with that.
We watched episodes of our favourite TV shows, made a few simple but scrumptious meals, read our books and I even challenged my man to a game of chess and beat him! Ok, not really, he won, but he had to work for it but he's so pleased to see my chess skills are improving. I did some coloring in while he did some things in his workshop and I had a bubble bath or three. We didn't leave the house except to go to the cinema to see a movie which is where I took the photo. No, I'm not wearing new jeans and boots...but yes I look cute in them. 馃檭

It really was such a nice weekend no matter which angle I look back at it from and the weather even played along somewhat, so much so that we ate most of our meals outside, something we love doing.
There was two hiccups on the weekend though, the first being the most obvious - it wasn't long enough - and the second being that we only had one avocado to make guacamole with and there wasn't even close to enough for our needs. We couldn't change the first and made-do on the second point though and it didn't really diminish our enjoyment at all.
Out of 10 the weekend was a 9.5 and while we didn't do much at all, what we did was good enough.
