It was 1:30am when my phone kept ringing and ringing, the tune woke me up and I checked whose calling it was my mother, at first I was scared to pick the call because I knew my mother could not call me at that hour if there was no emergency, I started creating event in my head, I had to get myself ready before taking the call.

You might be wondering why I was scared, I have two sick people at home, My aged father and my younger brother in his 30's.
My aged father has been very sick and I have been doing all I can, from one hospital to another, while my younger brother was involved in an accident five years ago and the accident has kept him in a stage where no one can do anything to make him better except God, we humans have tried our possible best and we are still trying because it's not easy to just sit and watch your younger die.

Back to my midnight letter

So after few minutes when I felt am ready to receive the news I called my mom back, she picked up the call and I had everyone shouting and praying, so I joined in the prayer first, after few minutes my mom now told me that my brother has been having seizure since 12'am and they have been trying all they can to stop it, 😭 so they reached out to me to see if I have a suggestion to give.
I was surprised because he have not experienced seizures for a very long time, and we all thought that the era of seizure is over because this is something that disorganizes him and cause so much pain and stress for the family, so I wasn't expecting that at all.

Well I asked them to put him in a side position, no one should hold him, let them pull his clothes if he wore any then allow him, I told them I would call back in the 30mins to see how he's doing, I that point I couldn't sleep again.

I started thinking about everything, so many questions and thoughts crossed my mind, this young guy we are talking about here is in his 30's, before this accident he owned his house, he had so many investments he was managing, he had plans for both himself and the family for the future and just a second change his story to the worst of it till today, it's five years and we are still counting hopefully and at the same time hopelessly because the doctors never gave us hope that he will ever be useful to himself again but he will to a point when the brain will finally shutdown 😭😔😭😭.

I can't stop crying, I can't stop asking why because it's so painful to see your blood in such stage.

By 2:am I called back to check how he's doing, my mom said he's still struggling, so I also said I would call back, then by 4:am my mom called to inform me that the seizure has stopped, so I instructed them to give him some of his medications so that he could have a very deep sleep.
Am happy he's stable a bit, so I will keep calling all through the day.

After the call till the moment I pick up my pen to write out my pain I couldn't stop crying 😭, because I don't know where we are heading and when this whole challenge will stop.

Anyway is daybreak, let me think of how to meet up with my daily target, see you guys next midnight.

Byeeeee.
