In the beginning, there was nothing, not even darkness accurately describes what was. Because before there was darkness and light there was nothing, a void, an emptiness, yet a fullness ripe with potential. Before there was good and evil, there just “was”, an existence yet unknown, unfathomable, ungraspable, and unknowable. It was nothing, yet it was everything.
All that existed was what our own limited fallible brain can conceive. Because its existence is beyond our knowledge and above the material plane in which we exist today. It existed beyond what even the great minds could conceive, before the prophets and seers, beyond the imagination of creativity. We cannot even begin to imagine, to acknowledge, to know the truth of what was. We can only accept that it was, if only through blind faith or belief.
Many have called it the divinity of all, the all encompassing spirit, the great god. It is not a god in the sense of what our human brains have conceived, but more of an energy and an existence that just is. It does not have a soul, a spirit, a heart, nor a brain. Yet, it lives, breathes, loves, and thinks. Yet, it is cold and unfeeling and unempathetic to the human plight of existence.
Out of this nothingness came a light, a bright, and shining wisdom, and an everlasting love. If one were to exist in this light, it would be as if one did not exist at all. It was to feel light and heavy, to feel as if one were floating yet drowning in a fierce flooding light. It could not be seen. The light existed as if it were a plasma, or an airy liquid feeling to it. The sensation of swimming and flying all at the same time existed in this light. It is suffocating, yet liberating, a paradox in its own right. It is as if it were the womb of a pregnant woman, life and creation tucked safely away in its mother’s belly. It is safe and secure, yet one would suffocate and fight to escape. The silence existed loudly in the light as if one could almost hear it, a ringing and buzzing sensation. If one could taste and smell in the light, it would be a metallic acid smell and taste. It would bitter yet not unpleasant.
