I wrote this in response to another post and I think it is important that we all do as much as we can to get the truth of what is happening in Ukraine over to the Russian people as their leader is blatantly lying to them.
I am horrified at the justifications from Putin attacking the Ukrainian people. The fact that he and his ambassadors around the world are still telling the Russian people that they are not invading Ukraine, when people are now dying, is absolutely abhorrent.
Hopefully, Russian people will see the truth through platforms like these where they are not controlled by the governments.
As for the rest of Europe, we need to stop Putin now. We need to learn from history what can happen if a power hungry madman decides he wants to secure his legacy.
This could easily be the start of WW3 and millions of lives could be lost for the sake of 1 madman’s crazy ideas of grandeur.
I understand that NATO does not want to get involved on the ground because Ukraine is not a member, however at what point to we get involved. Do we have to watch Russia destroy Ukraine until it reaches NATO territory, just so we don’t do any political damage? That won’t bother Putin in the slightest. He has decided long ago that he is hell bent on invading Ukraine and it looks like we are allowing him to do so. He will gain strength and confidence if he is allowed to do this.
Forget political, where are our moral obligations? How many people have to die before we step in?
I despair at the world right now. Russian people, Europe, US and the rest of the civilised world, please help to stop this madness!
