Bulow sounds quite German. Originally its actually called Bülow, or von Bülow. The von Bülows are a well known nobility family in Germany, since Victor von Bülow was about the most famous german comedian in TV since the 60s, known under his alias Loriot. He died a couple of years ago. Just have a look on YT, there is lot of his work.
It seems they had big plans back in the days, planning for a town called Bulow Ville there. What I dont understand is what Jan 76 1831 means.
