Yes, there is more than gold and silver. However, many people don't know much about Platinum, and even less about Palladium or Rhodium. Also, they are usually rather unspectacular to look at. Only of Platinum I know about a coin that the Russians used to mint. That pretty cool, but hard to get hold of.
The other 2, same as some rare earth which can be incredibly expensive, don't look like much. Usually a powder in a glass tube. And if you tell people its worth a couple of thousand dollars, they just frown.

You know whats also a cool metal? Tungsten. Its also quite expensive, but still affordable. A bit cheaper than silver. But more compact - it weighs about the same as gold. I have a watch that is made of Tungsten, it weighs a good pound! But its quite cool, everybody thinks its made of white gold... :)
And the good thing is: it does not get scratches. Tungsten is incredibly hard, and it melts only above 3000°C. So if I ever get nuked, the watch will be all thats left. :)
So Tungsten can be concidered to be a stacking metal, too. It sure wont suddenly get cheap in the future, and nobody will steal it and run away with it. :)
