Good find, that antler. It may come handy if you want to make some knife handles or so. But appearently they are not so rare. Have you ever seen the famous antler arches in Jackson Hole, WY? Take a look:

There is one on each corner of the square. And they seem to be surprisingly weather resistant, they have them for many years already.
