There is a Polish artist called Marta Dahlig, that I know from deviantart.com. She has done similar pictures - but by hand (with graphics software) and... better somehow. She has a beautiful way of painting women, so that they look like real faces and not "digital". Also the backgrounds are not so raandom.
Those pictures are pretty old, I don't know what she does today.
