I've met a number of people who take their sport too seriously, at least in my opinion. Unless you don't make a living with it, it should be fun I think. But some get carried away by ambition.
And I think the guy with the sex shop was pretty smart. As a pro golfer you may win sometimes and make some money - but the competitors are sure not bad golfers either. And if you don't win, the bills still need to be payed.
Dildos and fake vaginas on the other hand are always needed. Kind of similar to coffins and toilet paper. With a business in such things you may sleep much better, even if it is less glamurous.
