Well, this had to be expected. I said it numerous times around here: if someone thinks that the powers that are in control of the monetary system will just sit idle and watch how they lose that control, must be really naive. Jeez, they start wars for this kind of shit - and some people believe they can't touch BTC or the other Cryptos?
By creating a "government crypto" they solve 2 problems at once: first they lay a foundation for the fully digital money flow, in which nobody can hide any money anymore, and secondly they offer a legal alternative to the "rogue cryptos" before they ban them.
