I'm in the north-west of Germany. There is definatly something wrong here. Hardly any insects left, and very few small birds, compared to some years ago. There is a street light in front of the house, at night it used to be swarming with insects - they are now gone. And I have not seen a single mosquito this year. The last black bird I saw 3 month ago - dead on the sidewalk.
Very worrying, in my opinion.
