There is nothing like the explosion of new life in spring, to get those creative juices out of winter hibernation and flowing again.
Pallet Projects
The other day I took my daught to her driving permit test and across the parking lot this is what I see.
Beautiful Right?
Today lets talk about that ever useful and abundant pallet. They seem to be every where you look, most of the time you can get them for free or next to nothing and with a little imagination and/or research you could probably build a time machine out of them if you had a little plutonium and a Flux Capacitor.
One of the difficulties of working with pallets is of course the variation in the wood itself. At the big box chains you get the exact size you want and lots of it. When working with pallets you need to be a little less OCD and a little more "Wow that's so rustic" kinda person. Sadly I'm the OCD kinda person, but that's a topic for another day.

Lets move on to something a little more useful.
This is a little more impressive.
Now these are VERY useful and aesthetically pleasing.
Pallets are inexpensive, abundant and easily accessible and after all its even environmentally friendly recycling. We could look at pictures together all day, there are so many examples and amazing ideas out there so get up and go build something wonderful this year
I hope this gave you some ideas and got your creative juices flowing.
