3 years ago, as a gesture of good will and friendship I revamped SSG's logo (originally designed by 
3 years and a fork later I find myself, again, designing an offering for the SSG community mainly because I'm looking at the discord server and seeing the logo for that other chain we dont talk about anymore.
Thankfully Hubby's working from home today and was able to give me 30 minutes before his webinar started.
Here's what I came up with.
Design Elements
Taking inspiration from my logo design and my 2017 Silver Round design I decided to stick to a simple round logo with community written in different languages on the border.
I also decided, for the sake of continuity to keep the colours similar. I did want a more silver circle to represent a silver round but I wanted the Hive logo in copper & gold gradient to pop more.
Dont know if you can see the slight difference in the silver/grey round in the picture above and the one below but I was, still am, undecided on making the round darker or lighter.
In the end I had to settle with this.
I added textures & gradients to both the round background and the hive logo to give it a bit more depth. A slight shadow for the text also for more depth and additional contrast against the lighter parts of the round.
Personally I think it could use a bit of fine tuning but overall I'm pretty happy with it. It's not the flashiest or most original logo out there but it does remind me of the old SSG and I like that about it.
So what do you guys think? Yay or Nay?
