Without meaning to #004 turned out more purple than pink largely thanks go the blue bleed from Pitch Black.
After that result I wanted to see what it would look like when I actually mean to do a purple piece.
Deciding to keep it simple I've chosen 2 main colours, black and purple, and decided to give the purple pearl a go along with #004's experimental technique of blending multiple pools of ink at once.
Playing with new mediums is my version of travelling.
Some people enjoy going to new places, seeing new sights, I enjoy exploring colours and techniques; getting to know new materials, how they work and what works best with them.
Unfortunately I still need to figure out the best way to use the pearls as it looks like an afterthought on the piece.
To my defence it dried much quicker than I anticipated and it barely budged when I added drops of isopropyl alcohol on top of it. Not surprisingly the pearls are much harder to clean off the tiles than normal ink.
So far, despite the random blobs of pearl ink, I'm loving the way the colours blend together with this technique.
