Bella is 9 months old today.

Geesh that went FAST.
Definitely too fast for my liking.

She took off in all areas as soon as she started crawling and we feel like she's learning something, doing something new every day.

Her personality is coming through more and more. She's very affectionate, smart and doesn't like being left out of the conversation ~ ANY conversation. In fact the quickest way to get her talking is not to ask her questions but to start talking amongst ourselves.

She'll play happily in her play area as long as someone is there with her. But if you move, she moves (just like that)

Food wise... She can eat.. EAT, like, 'I don't know if I'm meant to be giving her this much food', eat.. (Do 9 month olds usually have a whole pear for lunch?) She's not a picky eater either. Unfortunately, or fortunately, still no teeth.

Her Achievements

These are all the things she learned this month.

  • Can say "Mama" and "Dada".
  • Knows how to high five, clap hands, wave hi/bye, kiss, wipe, hold & get certain items, peekaboo.
  • Dances to her favourite songs.
  • Recognises songs even when they're arranged and sung by differently.
  • Crawl. She's working on her balance at the moment, I reckon she's a couple of weeks away from walking.
  • Turn pages.
  • Understands ~ No, Stop, Ouch, Come here, Cuddle.

I'm considering teaching her sign language since she's great with her hands. But she's great at letting her needs and wants known so communication wise we understand each other pretty well so 🤷🏻‍♀️

We're working on the sorting blocks and the ring stacker right now. At the moment they're getting more action being knocked together than anything else.

Not sure if I should wait until she's got them mastered before I introduce musical instruments or just give them to her now and go with what she's more interested in 🤷🏻‍♀️

All that aside..

She's an amazing baby. So happy, so sweet. Yes she cries but when she does we know there's something wrong (usually when she's tired, shocked or hurt).

We get treated to the best hugs and lots of smiles all the time.

Life's pretty good.

Hoping the next couple of months slow down so we can enjoy her baby stage longer.
