Sunday Morning and I'm up bright and early thinking about yesterday's gumtree haul.
Gumtree is the Aussie equivalent to Craig's List.
I've been looking for old furniture I can recycle/upcycle for the outdoor area on Gumtree the last couple of weeks and I found this huge storage box and immediately envisioned a glorified bench or daybed. As it happens the lady who was selling the box was also selling a bamboo plant that I had to have.
For a bargain price of $20 ($10 each for box and plant) we finally checked it out yesterday.
Long story short..
They had a great spot in the mountains and she and her husband had my dream garden. They had this rock water feature with the most magnificent maple tree perched at the top of the water feature. It was insane. I was gawking and gushing - I'm pretty sure my eyes popped out of their sockets.
And her plants... She had the most gorgeous array of plants everywhere.
To top it off, she ended up being the nicest lady. She suddenly started piling up my arms with pots and cuttings of plants. All I said was I've always wanted succulents..
She was AMAZING!! I loved her!
Birthday week has kicked off early this year I'm getting random blessings already :D
You'll see all my goodies in the video. Please excuse my side shots. I don't know what I was thinking, thinking it would reorient when it plays. I think I'm still half asleep lol
I hope you all have a fab Sunday!
