A little bit closer to home in this post, we look towards the West Coast of Scotland, to the Fishing Village of Oban
A popular tourist attraction for a number of reasons, from Oban Whiskey to McCaig's Tower on the hill
To the renowned Skipinnish Ceilidh house along the promenade. Also of note, a second Ceilidh house is based in Fort William, and if you are into Folk Music then having a listen to the band of the same name (it is related is well worth it!)
Oban also has what could be considered as fairly modern buildings within Scotland 馃ぃ Such as this church here from 1880.
As a seaport it also acts as a main ferry route to the Scottish Islands. Where you can access the isles of Barra and Uist
These are all serviced by ferries provided by Caledonian MacBrayne who run services all along the West Coast of Scotland.
As mentioned before, there is something referred to as McCaig's Tower and this provides spectacular views over the town and the sea.

To that over the Seaport and Railway station
And finally that towards the Diocese of Argyll & The Isles.
It is a place worth visiting if you are touring the coastal route of Scotland
