The human species has a limitless creative potential; however, it also has an incredibly annoying vulnerability called fear. Our brain is designed to protect us from the dangers of the world. Tony Robbins, business and life strategists, developed something called a “90-second rule” that helped him understand how the brain reacts in a state of fear. He states that “our brain is not designed to make us happy, it is designed to make us survive.” Robbins provides three steps during the “90-second rule”, the first step is to recognize the stress, the second is to identify the legitimacy of the fear, lastly, visualize the stress or anxiety fade away.
I have been doing extensive research on my entrepreneurship journey and trying to learn as much as possible. I have found successful people like Tony Robbins and many others to be a massive inspiration in my life so definitely check out his new book unshakable. He has taught me that it is naturally easier not to take chances. I have learned that our brain will make us concentrate on our weaknesses instead of learning to develop and focus on our strengths.
Our brains do not want to take any risks; there are too many variables and unknowns that could cause us harm, financial burden, or social isolation. If an experience feels uncomfortable or uncertain, our brain will respond with fear to that experience.I firmly believe that understanding your weakness and facing your fears is the first step to understanding your real human potential. The next step that I have found to be the most fun, yet time-consuming, is identifying my strengths. These are some techniques I use to determine my strengths:
Lastly, you must ensure that you are connected to the community that is supporting you. Community involvement and outreach are essential to ensure your continued success. It is never about making money, a substantial amount of income that can provide you financial freedom is a result of the great things that you are accomplishing. A sizeable monetary gain is not the goal or the objective. Success in my mind is daily, it is about enjoying the journey. In that success, you will eventually obtain the necessary resources to change your community for the better. Success is a daily practice as well as being fulfilled and present in the now. So that will forever stick to my head for the rest of my successful life.
