This is pretty much false when dealing with BLOCKCHAIN. A ledger system showing exactly point A - B. Yes you can use tumbler's, and washing techniques, but if there's a chain there's A CHAIN TO FOLLOW.
Alright Dash, Monero, even Litecoin has some features built in in order to save you some privacy. The freedom with BTC is that it is decentralized. The more wider adoption or network effect the better. It's not necessarily about privacy but about control. Who controls what? Can it be printed to infinity? No!
So just remember something that happened 10 years ago can eventually be tracked back to you. You aren't into BTC or crypto strictly for privacy. Remember that. You should be into crypto because it cannot be easily controlled! If you want privacy choose a coin that masks identity. Personally if BTC is like gold and I can make personal transfers without worry of intermediaries from banks it's a plus.
Imagine buying real-estate quickly! and for large LEGAL purchases you might actually want verification to be known publicly. That's a ledger!
