The system runs on debt issuance. It's a debt based system. It must must must expand at all costs or it will completely collapse. If you stop issuing debt, the system ends.
The supply chain was disrupted by printing money or 'debt' and handing it out in the form of stimulus checks. The supply chain met higher demand with fresh debt and now there are disruptions which are unfixable at this point.
The debt based system must continue at all costs. This is why CBDC's will be implemented. Rates can go negative, tax collection will easily increase, and the central bank doesn't even need the intermediaries to issue debt. It will still be massively inflationary, but only until they crush the real market and then implement. Meanwhile physical assets will be bought pennies on the dollar.
