What can I say other than I am right at home on the hive blockchain. It is unique in that many of us can post our opinions and thoughts without fear or repercussions of our 'wallets' being confiscated by any power. Of course the witnesses could be attacked and our chain brought down. Nothing is impervious and decentralization is not easy. There are many challenges.
There's a knot in my stomach as to what has been going on in my province of Ontario. I have known for decades about the socialist nature of Canada. I have just been waiting for a catalyst to see how overt socialist control will rear it's head. Anyone in the know should already be aware that the government can garnish and even take over your wages. That has been here for decades.
But now many in Canadian population got a kick in the preverbal balls. They are good citizens, and they pay their taxes! But taking away people's voice and bank accounts without due process? I understand the city of Ottawa hates the distraction and the noise. The disruption to business is also infuriating. On the flip side you have a bunch of angry people who have had economic warfare directed at them for over 2 years. What goes into your body is not your choice!
Try not to file income tax or property tax!
So I did the only responsible thing and to buy more Crypto and secure it on a hard key. I guess I could be tracked from the output wallet, but it cannot be confiscated. Could my coins be blacklisted by address if the government ever disagree's with my disagreement? Unfortunately yes. Your BTC could be under attack with shadow bans. Now I don't buy a lot from exchanges but this is the sad truth with KYC. Bitcoin may not be the freedom we want. My coins cannot be confiscated, but the on and off ramps could blacklist my wallet. Sending wallet to wallet isn't hard to figure out either.
So I also turned THAT day to my old tried and tested approach. Hard metals are literally impossible to find especially if you turn to cash. Of course crossing a border with hoards of gold and silver is not a great alternative either. A hard key would be preferrable with crypto loaded. Wherever you travel too it could be a good way to carry some kind of wealth.
The irony of it all. They complain about the economic harm blockades have created, but for two years the government has been busy destroying small and medium size business. The overt corruption is demonstrated albeit in the USA of the whole Epstein saga! Will they attack crypto in the coming day's? The death of an empire becomes more and more overt, but the sheep still lay ready for slaughter.
