Jeff loved his 2001 Lincoln. It handled really nice, the car was very powerful, and the ride was very smooth. It did have it's downside though, and that appeared when it came time to do repairs on the car. It was just a royal pain to work on. Jeff did not appreciate bleeding from busted knuckles like he did in his youth. He usually had to pay to get the repairs done since the car was just about impossible for Jeff to work on. It was such a technical marvel of complex components. When the beast ran, it was great, it was an amazing car. When it did not, get out the wallet, and get ready to make the semi shady garage mechanic very happy. When Jeff drove to the garage entrance, and the mechanic saw that silver Lincoln, his Itty bitty mechanic heart went all aflutter.
Jeff's brother, Giorgio, knew of his brother's plight. Jeff's car was nice, but it was getting to the point where the expenses to keep it on the road were getting out of hand for his baby brother. He wanted to help him out.
Giorgio had been on this website Steemit for about a year and had recently made some good money on the website. Actually he was making great money. He took a good chunk of his earnings, about 10,000 dollars, and converted the digital currency into silver bars. Giorgio loved the way the silver glistened, and felt against his skin. It was such a rush. Prior to finding Steemit, Giorgio could only dream of ever owning silver.
Giorgio had his daughter drive him to Los Angeles, California, about 1 and a half hour drive. He had found a truck online that looked like a really good deal. Giorgio found the used car dealership, walked up to the nearest salesman, and asked about the Toyota pickup. The salesman walked Giorgio over to the truck. It looked better in real life than the pictures showed on line. He test drove it. It ran great. His daughter loved the truck as well.
He went back out to his daughter's car, opened up the trunk, and pulled out a briefcase. He walked back inside, sat at a table with the salesman and his daughter.
"Watch this" he whispered to his daughter. She kind of shook her head, not sure what her Dad meant. The salsesman had some paper work with him, all to do with getting the credit information on Giorgio.
Giorgio smiled and said "You won't be needing that". Giorgio tapped the outside of the black leather briefcase. Just as the salesman's manager walked up, Giorgio dramatically opened the suitcase up to where all three, his daughter, the salesman, and the manager had a clear view of the contents of the briefcase.
There the silver bars glistened in the afternoon sunlight. "Woah." said the salsesman. The managers eyes widened and got a huge smile on his face. His daughter exclaimed "Daddy."
"I was wondering about getting a new set of tires put on that truck, and getting the shocks replaced." The salesman stammered "Sure,we can get you a real good deal on both of those." The manager agreed, reached in and grabbed one of the bars. He let the sun glint off the precious metal, and smiled a big used car manager smile.
Giorgio went back to his brother, and handed him a small box. Jeff opened the box in amazement. Inside were the keys to that Toyota pickup. Jeff loved the Toyota pickup. Jeff and Giorgio hugged. It was a great day.
