Reading this and I honestly don’t know if I’m surprised, angry, or just stunned, probably all of it at once. We keep repeating the same mistakes: power concentrating at the top, institutions getting sidelined, and “winning” being valued over stability.
And to be fair, Europe isn’t exactly a moral high ground here either. Different style, same problems: bureaucratic overreach, weak leadership, slow responses, and a growing gap between government and citizens.
What really frustrates me is that we know this already. Decades of history show that cooperation beats domination in the long run economically, politically, and socially.
We didn’t learn enough from past wars. 😩
