Therefor it also took me a while to find a good battle some losses and many games where it did not make any sense to pick the Legionnaire Alvar.
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Void Armor, giant killer, demoralize, deathblow
Mine is at level 2 the extra attack is nice but the giant killer is not utilized a lot. On level 3 it gets demoralize then it might be more often in my team setup. My opinion is that this monster, if no melee mayhem or super sneak rulesets are in to play, it should be in the front and then there are not a lot of 10+ mana cost tanks that will be in the front.
With these rulesets and what my opponent was playing, often life team. I assume it will choose Uriel the Purifier which might be a nice oppertunity to get the Legionnaire Alvar a spot on the team.
Fire regret
All monster will have the return fire ability. Return Fire: Damage returned is equal to damage of attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
What doesn't kill you
All monster will get the *enrage *ability. Enraged has increased Melee attack and Speed when damaged.
Multiplier x1.5 rounded up.

| My number one summoner at the moment highly versatile and in this case it is better than Kelya. I want to play with melee and poison. |

Legionnaire Alvar (lvl 2):
Star of this week. Hope to matched up against a high mana cost monster so it can showoff his gaint killer ability. Else it still has a decent amount of health and armor with the void armor also magic monster needs to get trough its shield first.
Chaos Agent (lvl 7):
Filler / meat shield to keep my poison monster alive longer. When it is in the front it might cause some missed because of the dodge.
Uraeus (lvl 5):
This monster is such a nice monster on gold level only 3 mana and poison. This hitting the backline hoping on some poison and Deeplurker with opportunity targeting two different monsters that have the possibility to get poison
Deeplurker (lvl 6):
Next very important monster in this strategy. Again poison and with the opportunity also targeting an other monster than the Uraeus.
Merdaali Guardian (lvl 5):
Healer with repair important for keeping the tank alive as long as possible. Here the repair is also a sort of heal because of the void armor of the Legionnaire Alvar
Pelacor Bandit (lvl 8 GF):
Backline protector. Whenever there is a melee monster with sneak I hope for some misses.

Start :
Not the lineup I expected. two magic monster so the void armor will be helpful.
Double repair that will slow me down. I got two poison opportunities and my opponent only one. The speed of the Djinn Oshannus will become a problem 9 when it is enraged. No increased damage when it enrage because it is magic attack.
Round 1:
Only one poison landed and my opponents Uraeus missed.
Round 2:
My Pelacor bandit is enrages so there is a 45% chance that Uraeus misses his attack, and it did again.
Venarie wavesmith is gone. poison did his thing.
The Legionnaire Alvar is holding up and getting the extra shield in every round is important
Round 3:
My Pelacor bandit is gone. Now spotted that my Merdaali Guardian is a far in the back so it in range of my opponents Uraeus. Not sure if i should have switched Merdaali Guardian with Deeplurker, but that is now you have seen the lineup.
Round 4:
Slowly killing the monsters in the back. When my healer is gone not sure if can survive
Round 5:
Now my healer is gone it will become difficult. lucky his Pelacor Bandit is poisoned.
Round 6:
Pfff those repairs i cannot hit the Djinn Oshannus. Got to start killing the Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling
Round 7:
At least poison on Merdaali Guardian this will take a while. The Legionnaire Alvar will survive 4 more rounds will that be enough.
Round 8:
Merdaali Guardian died.
Round 9:
I overlooked the camouflage of the Scavo Hireling. This will take a while with that repair.
Round 10:
Finally poison on the Djinn this will help.
Round 11:
Ohhnoo the misses the only thing that will save me is the pioson
Round 12:
Two more turns, this should be enough.
Round 13:
This becomes a waiting game 🤣
Round 14:
Last monster with no attack just wait till it is dead.
Round 15/16/17:
Also another miss
Win this was long enough what a misses and repairs 🤣😂.
Different lineup than expected. In this case the Legionnaire Alvar did his part and withstand many attacks from the Djinn Oshannus. I love to see the double poison which I use very often nowadays.
That's all for this week hope you enjoyed reading this battle report. See you all on the battle field
