Hello @hellobritt, I read your introductory post on Steemit. I believe that platform is no longer widely used. When I started writing on Hive, many people had already left Steemit to join Hive.

I am a writer, I have written and published mainly poetry, I am also a teacher and editor, I am from Venezuela, South America, currently residing in Andalusia, Spain. Welcome. Little by little, you will understand the dynamics of the platform. Perhaps the most important thing at the beginning is to find communities where like-minded people participate, follow the posting rules of each community, read other people's posts and leave comments (so that they will follow you), be as consistent as you can, and participate in contests and initiatives (all communities offer them). One additional piece of advice: don't be discouraged if you don't get many votes at first.
