TU ROSTRO EN INVIERNO

La brisa fría mueve tus cabellos plateados
mientras caminamos por la ciudad
abrazados,
lentamente,
como dos osos a punto de invernar.
Tu sonrisa jovial de improviso
me transporta a otras calles que transitamos
juntos en la primavera
de nuestras vidas, cuando corríamos
en invierno lanzándonos bolas de nieve,
luego de ver caer los copos de las primeras
nevadas desde la ventana.
En tu rostro surcado por los signos
de tiempo, esa joven mujer se asoma
llenándote de luz la mirada,
me miras con asombro
porque me he detenido a verte.
－¿Qué pasa?, me preguntas.
－Miraba mi amor intacto,
las estaciones no lo han mermado.

YOUR FACE IN WINTER

The cold breeze stirs your silver hair
as we walk through the city
in each other's arms,
slowly,
like two bears about to hibernate.
Your jovial smile suddenly
transports me to other streets we walked
together in the spring
of our lives, when we ran
in winter, throwing snowballs at each other,
after watching the first snowflakes
falling from the window.
In your face furrowed by the signs of time
of time, that young woman looks out
filling your eyes with light,
you look at me with astonishment
because I have stopped to look at you.
-What's wrong, you ask me.
-I was looking at my love intact,
the seasons have not diminished it.
