The Wheel Bug ..
I found this Assassin Bug species outside of my house this morning while throwing away some garbage. I saw this rather large brown thing near the edge of the wall, and decided to bend down for a closer look. It was sort of dark outside, so I had to use a photo editor in order to lighted up the exposure.
This Wheel bug was rather large.. at about 1 inch (2.5cm) or so long. It was pretty cold out this morning (34F/1C), so he/she was pretty much inactive. I let it alone to wonder off, after the sun rises more and things warm up. From what I know about them, they are considered a beneficial insect, although if provoked or mishandled they could bite/sting you. I guess it's a good thing that I left this one alone.. haha.
I didn't totally leave it be.. I may have annoyed it by taking the photos. I couldn't resist taking a few shots, because I hardly ever see these Wheel Bugs.. I guess they like hiding from me. I took my photos and let it be. I suppose I will know if it wondered off when I get back home later today.
I think what is sort of neat about this guy (or gal) is that it has a hitchhiker.. A Dandelion seed is attached to it's body. I didn't notice it until after I lightened up the photos. Pretty cool or at least I think.

Not everything is art. Art is not everything, but it comes close. Art is everywhere and all the time. Art makes you experience the beauty of the world, the people in it, and the places we call home. Art itself is so influential that it can tell stories, show feelings, and express passion or fury. Art exists in addition to language; expression of sensations and thoughts, revealing a way of thinking too subtle and delicate for words.
For me art requires love, honesty and perseverance. In return, it reveals some personal, non-analyzable, and creative untamed passion. For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.
