Going For The Silver - Making Trades For Silver Coinage
Recently I Sold A Few More Items ..
Helping to leverage toward my ultimate goal of increasing my silver coin stack. So far things are going pretty well. I have managed NOT to procrastinate or even reminisce about my acquisition of certain items in my possession. Instead, I have been able to maintain focus, set small goals, and achieve those goals. Ultimately reaching these sales goals, will bring me closer to reaching my silver stacking goals.
So What's Been Sold This Week? ..
First up are a few Hockey Cards ..
I parted ways with a two used/traded hockey cards I had for a good while. I have soooooo many to go through, but these were on my mind as to have some value. Not a ton of value, but maybe an ounce or two worth of silver value.
I sold this 1980/1981 Topps Wayne Gretzky card. They came with a little hockey puck to the lower right side. This area was painted black over a waxy surface, and you could scratch it off to reveal the players name. Mine remained unscratched, adding to its small value. I sold this card for $26.06 USD.
The above Steve Yzerman card even had a little value left in it. I was surprised to have sold it for around $14.50 USD.
Next Items Let Go.. Lighters!
I let this lot of six lighters go for a MASSIVE $36.00 USD .. hehe. Again though, this brings me another ounce or so of Silver, and that much closer to my yearly goal. I picked these up one here and one there, and even think I may have a few more someplace, but can't remember. They are of no interest to me, so the decision to part with them was an easy one.
Moving On.. I also sold a Cross Pen..
I own two of these and can only use one at a time, so therefore it got sold to the highest bidder. The final bid came in at $11.50 USD. Not bad for a used gold plated pen. Looks like someone wants to do a little writing via the old school method! haha. I hope they post it to #Hive :-)
Antique Milk Bottles .. Two of them! I just packaged and dropped these off this morning to the post office. I sold them for $30.00 USD - Milk Not Included. These are kind of cool because they were from a local farm, the paint is in good shape, the bottles are perfect, and they have the cream partition there on the top. The lady who bought them from me, happens to also be from Pennsylvania, like these bottles. I sold them to her for $30.00 USD for the pair!
The Final Item .. A Staple Gun .. I inherited this tool with a bunch of other stuff, after a friend of ours died unexpectedly. I am still slowly going through all of the stuff she left us and I stacked into boxes and then into our basement. I figured since this was new and people often need them, then it should easily sell. I was right. Someone bought it a few minutes after I listed it. I got full asking price of $12.00 USD. I thought that was a fair deal.
Now For The Grand Total ...
Net $130.06 USD!
Not bad for a little time spent listing and shipping. This figure is after fees and shipping costs. Now all that is left is to reinvest that money.
What Silver Pieces Am I Going To Buy??? ..
You'll just have to wait and see. I'll post about them all soon after they get delivered. YES I said "Them" meaning multiple pieces! So EXCITING!!! All Silver coins either .800 or .925. Nothing .999 yet.. YET.

For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.
