Yup, We Got A Birthday Girl In The House! ..
She's been such a tough little girl.. So it doesn't surprise us that she has grabbed life by the horns and locked in year number 15. It's pretty amazing and we didn't want to just let it slip on by without a little bit of fuss over her achievement. She deserves it 100 percent.
Every Good Party Starts With Some Fire ..
Ummmm.. I think that's what they say .. Haha. Maybe they don't, but our party did. I found the box of candles and picked out a pink one for Molly's birthday cake. I thought about sticking 15 of them in the small piece of cake, but then thought better of it. I didn't want to scare the rest of the life out of her.
We chose some of Molly's favorites.. Vanilla cake, strawberry, ice cream filling, whip cream icing with a cake cookie for a topper. WOW! What a treat!!! I poked a small hole through the cookie, inserted the pink candle and lite that little sucker on fire! hehe.
Picture Perfect!
It started off that way at least .. She sat through the singing of 'Happy Birthday', patiently waiting for a taste of the sweet stuff. It almost appeared as if she was a bit annoyed with our singing voices or possible the fire atop of her gift. Not sure.. lets go with the fire element since our pitch is spot on. lol.
"Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Molly,
Happy Birthday to you!"
Disclaimer - We helped her blow out the candle. Thought you may be wondering.
All was going so well, then things took a turn for the worse ..
SEE YA SUCKER! She decided to dart, but the sweet treat was just way too much for her to bear. She could smell it and wanted a big fat taste of it. And we did not deny her that fun. Oh Yeah .. and she didn't waste another single second before she dove right in!
Eventually we had to cut some of it up and give it to her in her bowl .. She was scaring herself while licking the cake. She was licking it so hard that if fell over and she ran away again. We decided to make it a little easier for the old lady.
We were only left with a little clean up.. Some on her chin and some in her ear. A small price to pay for such deliciousness.
Birthdays Are Sooooo Tiring ..
At least when you are 15 years old and filled to the gills with cake and ice cream.
I Guess There Is Nothing Left To Do But ..
Crash
What a Blessed Little Dog .. She's blessed and has been a blessing to us. She brings so much light and love into our lives. Yes, she comes with some baggage; Addison's Disease, Horrible Allergies (including being severely allergic to humans), A 3 out of 5 Heart Murmur, Seizures or Syncope, and the start of Doggie Dementia. Wow.. in the light of day this girl has a bunch of crap going on.
We Wouldn't Change A Thing ..
15 years ago, if someone gave us a choice given all of her aliments, we wouldn't change a thing. We would snatch her right up and bring her home again. She's a fighter.. she's cute.. she's amazing. She's our little girl and we LOVE HER SO VERY MUCH.
