Today it is the 12th time I am sitting on my couch and writing the editorial for Turni. Three months is a long time in blockchain space. I was looking at my folder where I keep the editorials, and the first one had a July 25th time stamp on it. Price of hive at the time was 23 cents! Today it is 15 cents! Does that bother you a bit? I am sure it does. There are a lot of things that affect the price. Today I thought I will talk about a few.

We just finished our hard fork. Some of you are aware of it; others probably didn't notice it much other than perhaps you couldn't post or collect rewards for a couple of days. Maybe your favorite front-end like PeakD didn't work for a couple of days. It is perhaps still not working at 100%. From the interface side, there is no change. So, people see hardly any difference.

With that said, things are mostly back to normal or getting there. Hive.vote is working (mostly). I posted something on leofinance.io. Yep, that interface is working fine. After I hit the post, it takes a few seconds to appear, or it seems that way, but it is mostly fine. PeakD mostly works, so is hive.blog. Splinterlands is mostly flawless in terms of gameplay. Yeah, yeah, it was down into the hard fork, and yes, some of you couldn't play the season properly. I get it, no big deal; I just barely qualified C-1 this time, as I couldn't play well enough last few days. Hey, there was a big 'land' announcement; it looks like we are all going to be 'landowners' in the near future! I don't know about you, but I am stoked! That is something new. We just need more new things on the blockchain to bump up the buzz, which you guys call FOMO.

So, what about the low price, eh? Well, complain, all you want. But if the majority of people constantly sell hive and there is no new investment, the price will go down. Hive is inflationary by design. Our rewards come from inflation. Add to that constant selling pressure, it is no surprise to me that price goes down. So, what can we do about it?

1. Generate good content. Get it out there. Post more (1-2/day). Because if you don't, spammers and optimizers will. They will take your money from the reward pool and sell hive. Most good content creators struggle to make 1 post/day. So, those that are churning 2-3-4 posts consistently, day after day, are someone who you want to fight. Let's take the fight to them and crush them, not by barking at them but showing them better content.
2. Earn hive from posting. If you can, try and stake it by powering up. There is little point selling at these prices, as the price will be higher in the future. If we do it right, that is…Of course, this is your personal choice, and not everyone's life situation is not the same. But just think about it, and if you can, try to power up.
3. Get one friend into the hive. A new, unique, honest person who can produce good content, as opposed to spam.
4. Try reading, commenting, engaging on the blockchain. Increase your reach and network. Talk to new people.
5. Try and improve personal skills. Or pick up a new skill. It can be writing, reading, art, coding, trading, gaming…. Whatever it is. This new skill or skills will help you in the future.
6. If English is not your first language, please consider using the chain as a learning tool. A language learned will never go unrewarded.

There are perhaps many things that I have missed but help us fill in the blanks. Help us grow so that you can grow with us. Don't worry about the price. Do your stuff and keep doing it, and the price will follow.

Engagement! Engagement! Engagement! We know that engagement can make this platform more beautiful and better for us. The time we are putting on this will be more enjoyable with it. To me, it works like I am representing myself here through my blogs, and the viewers are going to give their opinions on that. That's what I expect to know whether I am on the right track or not. In this way, one knows his lackings and the points where he should improve himself. To recover that, he may also visit others' blogs to know how they are doing, which level they are on, where he should bring his changes, which is even better than him. Actually, that's how it works.

Suppose one doesn't want these opinions or improvements; he just wants to make money, nothing else. So how will he do that? By writing blogs isn't it? So if he doesn't write a worthy post to be voted, then how he will make money? You just came, you wrote a random few words and expect to get a reward for counting your words? Hahaha, lol, this doesn't happen here. You need to put some effort into getting that. Okay, if you think your writings are best, let them decide and vote; if they aren't, then you must have to walk on the path of engagement to correct your shortcomings. Otherwise, the motto of earning won't be fulfilled.

To me, the survival on this platform depends on the engagement with others. I have also seen a friend of mine getting lost in the midway. How far a person can walk alone? "Together we stand, divided we fall." We should consider it for our own benefit. Still, if you can't get it, that's your misfortune. Well, all we want is just to have a good time together. Chill.

রোজেলিনির 'স্ট্রম্বলি'র পাতা থেকে

স্ট্রম্বলির পাদদেশে ছোট এক গ্রামে নতুন যুগল বাসা বাঁধলেও সে যে কেবল পুরুষটিরই একক স্বপ্ন। তাঁর সঙ্গিনীকে দমবন্ধকর একাকিত্ব আর অদৃশ্য শিকলে তড়পাতে দেখি।

গল্পের ধারা মেলে ধরার ক্ষেত্রে স্ট্রম্বলির মতিগতি কিন্তু খুব চটপটে নয়। একাধিক অংক আছে আর গল্পটা সে অংকগুলোর মধ্যে বন্টন করা। এই অংকগুলো এক পর্যায়ে একত্রে চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ে উপনীত হয় যেখানে দেখতে পাই দ্বিধা, অবিশ্বাস, অনুতাপে সিক্ত এক নারীর। সে নারী সব কিছু থেকে মুক্তি পেতে স্ট্রম্বলির পানে হাটা ধরে।

স্ট্রম্বলির চাপা আগুন ওর নিজের মধ্যকার দ্বন্দের জায়গা তুলে ধরে৷ ব্যক্তি হিসেবে হাজার বছর ধরে চলে আসা সংস্কৃতির চলের বিরুদ্ধাচারণ আর তাই থেকে সৃষ্ট অস্থিতিশীলতা যেন স্ট্রম্বলির উড়ো ছাই। এরপর জীবন্ত স্ট্রম্বলির গরম ধোঁয়া আর ছাই মিশ্রিত বাতাসের ঘুর্ণিবাতে সে নারী চরম সত্যের সন্ধান পায়, যে সত্যের মুখোমুখি হবার অভিজ্ঞতা ওর সকল পুরনো আবেগ ধুয়ে মুছে নতুন করে সাজায়। এই দৃশ্য যুগ যুগান্তরে মনে রাখার মত।

যদিও আমি রোজেলিনির এই সদ্য পাওয়া মহাজ্ঞানের স্পিরিচুয়ালিজম খুব একটা পছন্দ করিনি, কিন্তু চরিত্রটার পঙ্কিল যাত্রার দর্শক হওয়া বিরাট অভিজ্ঞতা বটে।

অনেক ঘুরেছি আমি ; বিম্বিসার অশোকের ধূসর জগতে

Quotes and idealism never really went with me. I always did what I like do, never really thought of the consequences which would hover around once the task is done for. But soon, life made me realize what to do? How to do? When to do? Many of us might have gone through this stage, so did I as well!

When you realize you are good at multiple acts, then go for it! But realizing the fact of the outcome is what matters the most. Not necessarily the outcome has to be about only money, rather it could be about knowledge, experience, and much more. The quote which we are referring to today "Do not put your Legs in Two Boats". Let me put out some examples to simplify my thoughts in the easiest possible terms.

• Career

This is a very touching matter to discuss. From the very beginning of our life, we are given a target to reach. These so-called targets are mostly given by our parents, which allows some of us to study something which we do not really want to. Resulting in a confusing path at the end. But when it comes to making the right decision to make the career choose it wisely. DO not make false pretension over emotion.

Upon watching many stories of people going from one profession to another does not really help much. Yeah, after a specific amount of time, you can/may explore different zones of life (Will discuss at the end about it) but starting a career with a foot on different boats is not really a good idea for building a career.

• Relation

Oh my, this is an even more touching matter than the previous one. I am sorry to say these, but nowadays, the value of relationships has become like a piece of tissue paper for many people. People making use of it whenever necessary and throwing it out when the user is done. As a result, when you are choosing your life partner, you have simultaneous thoughts regarding it. While being in a so-called relationship, you are having more than one relations at the same time, but in the end, you are in the no-go zone. Not that I am judging or being manipulative, but the fact still remains what you are doing is wrong in several ways. The adrenaline rush will slowly fade away. Thus everything will open in front of your eyes.

This topic is a double-edged sword! There comes a time when you have to do multiple things in order to survive, but the fact is, there is always a time for that. For instance, there is a saying, "do not put all your eggs in one basket". The fact is we all have our time, and we should realize when to act to it? And how to act to it? Once you find those answers, the path becomes easier and a little less fragile!

Cursive writing, language learning, the tables. Oh! Everything seemed a bit too much for Jarvis. He had looked forward to joining the school and getting to know a lot of fellow mates but had not expected the workload to be of this kind.

Why did he have to learn how to write beautifully, and what did it matter if 2+2 was not equal to 4? Why on earth should he have to learn how the leaves managed to remain green or why the sky was blue?

Jarvis wanted to hop and run along with the fields and play with his mates. He wanted to throw stones at the frogs, which jumped when he did so, and he wanted to blow the milkweed and see it float in the air. His desires were many.

He wanted to eat sweets but was given the most hated bitter gourd to eat, and if he refused to, his teacher would scold him. Pleading eyes or children bursting out in tears did not move her. The children had named her - the tiger. They did not know the female term, of course.

Days passed, and Jarvis knew that his life had changed forever. He either had to study hard and get through the exams or would have to study another year in the same grade, which meant punishment at the hand of the tiger, which was even more horrible.

Jarvis studied hard, and he was the topper. It gave him a sense of achievement.

10 o'clock.

Doctor Anis entered hurriedly in the hospital. Actually, in the morning, he got a call from the hospital for an emergency case. Whenever he entered the hospital, he changed his clothes, then wore a PPE ( personal protective equipment) and went directly to the corona block. Patients who are affected in covid are kept in this block. Jolo, 13 years boy, was involved in covid for the last 7 days. He is in a critical stage. Dr. Anis found his (Jolo) father pacing in the block and probably waiting for the doctor.

Seeing the doctor's patients, father started to shout at him, why did you take that much time? Don't you feel that it's an emergency? Don't you have any sense? Dr. Anis, with a smiling face, said to him to calm down. I wasn't in the hospital. Please have patience. I assure you to do my best.

His father started blustering at him. Dr. Anis gently replied, Please pray for your son. His father yelled at him and said, stop giving advice. What if your son was in the same condition? Dr. Anis didn't say anything but smile.

It's quite challenging to deal with the case as it was a bit ticklish. Dr. Anis referred his patient to the ICU word, and it took some hours to make the situation stable. After that, Dr. Anis went out gaily and told his father not to worry; his son is saved by almighty's grace. But Jolo's dad didn't satisfy. He retorted that you're responsible for all this. Why you take all this time to come?

Dr. Anis replied with a smile that If you have any inquiries, please ask the nurse. Thank you. Without waiting for fathers reply, he carried on. Father thought to himself, why he has so much attitude? After a while, a nurse entered and told him they shifted his son to the cabin so he could go and check. Father raised a question to the nurse, why the doctor is so much arrogant?

Nurse sadly replied to him,

his father died yesterday because of influencing covid. He couldn't bury him yet as no one allows the body to be buried because of his condition. All he has to do alone. Don't know where he will be buried. When we called him for informing your son's condition, he was at the burial, but he left his father burial to save your son.

The father became silent, tears coming down his eyes.

পৃথিবীর স্বপ্ন

বাইরে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে,ইমন গাড়ির জানালার কাচ নামিয়ে দেয়। সাধারনত সে এমনটা করে না। কিন্তু আজকের দিনটা অন্যরকম। আজ তার খুব আনন্দের একটি দিন। আজ বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রনালয় থেকে একটি মেইলের মাধ্যমে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে তাকে জানানো হয়েছে যে আগামীকাল বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে ব্লু-রাইস কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড সাথে কানাডা সরকারের প্রযুক্তিগত চুক্তি সম্পাদিত হবে। ইমন এই কোম্পানির সিইও। যদিও ইমন তার বিশ্বস্ত মিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে খবর টি আগেই জানতো। সে শুধু অপেক্ষা করছিলো আনুষ্ঠানিক বিবৃতির।

: স্যার, বাসার দিকে যাবো?

ইমনের খেয়াল ই ছিলো না। কাজলের কথায় সংবিৎ ফিরে পায়। সে বুঝতে পারে বাড়ির কাছে চলে এসেছে। কাজল তার অনেক দিনের ড্রাইভার। এই কোম্পানি থেকে প্রথম গাড়ি পাওয়ার সময় থেকে কাজল তার গাড়ির ড্রাইভার। ইমন উত্তর দেয়-

: হ্যা। বাড়ির দিকেই চলো।

বৃষ্টি অনেকটাই কমে এসেছে ।ইমন জানালার কাচটি তুলে দেয়। কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই তারা বাড়ি পৌছে যায়। গুলশানে ইমনের নিজস্ব ডুপ্লেক্স বাড়ি। পুরো বাড়ি স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে কম্পিউটার দ্বারা চালিতো। দরজা তে একটি ভয়েস রেকর্ডার এ ইমনের গলার স্বর শুনে দরজা স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে ভাবে খুলে যায়।

ইমন সরাসরি চলে যায় তার বেড রুমে। ফ্রেশ হয়ে হালকা জামা গায়ে জড়িয়ে বারান্দায় এসে বসে। রুমা এসে চা দিয়ে যায়। ইমনের জন্য তিব্বত থেকে এই চায়ের পাতা স্পেশালভাবে নিয়ে আসা হয়। রুমা ও এই বাসায় আছে প্রায় ১০ বছর। তার আগে অবশ্য কয়েকজন ছিলো কিন্তু রুমা টিকলো এতদিন। ইমন তাকে উদ্দেশ্য করে বলে-

: রুমা ! আজ আর ডিনার করবো না।
: ঠিকাছে, স্যার।

ইমন বাসায় একাই থাকে। সে আবার তার ভাবনায় ফিরে যায়। সে আজ যে পর্যায়ে পৌছেছে তার জন্য কতই না কষ্ট করতে হয়েছে। তার জন্মের সময়ই মা মারা যান। মা কে হারিয়ে বাবা কেমন যেনো হয়ে যান তার আত্নীয়- স্বজনের কাছ থেকে শোনা। তারপর হঠাৎ একদিন বাবা রোড এক্সিডেন্টে মারা যায় তখন ইমনের বয়স দুই বছর। ইমন তার চাচা-চাচীর সাথে বড় হতে থাকে। ইমন এর বয়স যখন বার তখনই সে নিজেকে আবিষ্কার করে। কিন্তু কাউকে জানায় না। কিন্তু হঠাৎ একদিন তার চাচাতো ভাই বিষয় বুঝতে পেরে বাসায় বলে দেয় যে ইমন একজন তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষ। ইমন এর চাচী এই নিয়ে অনেক কথা তার চাচাকে শুনায় আর ইমনকে বের করে দিতে চাপ দিতে থাকে। ইমন এর দম বন্ধ হয়ে আসতে থাকে বাসায় সে দৌড়ে বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে দ্বিকবিদিক না দেখে ছুটতে থাকে। সে সংকল্প করে আর কখনো বাড়ি ফিরবে না। ইমন রাস্তায় রাস্তায় ঘুরতে থাকে। ক্ষুধায় সে এক জায়গায় বসে পড়ে, সে নড়তে পারে না।

রিঙ্কু সর্দার সকাল থেকেই দেখে এক পিচ্চি তার দোকানের পাশে বসে কাদছে । রিঙ্কু দুপুরে খাওয়ার জন্য বাহিরে বের হলে ইমন কে দেখতে পেয়ে কাছে এসে কথা বলে। সে কথায় বুঝতে পারে ইমন তার মতোই। সে ও তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষ। কিন্তু রিঙ্কু ছিলো ব্যাতিক্রম ধরনের মানুষ। যেখানে দেশের অনান্যরা রাস্তায় ঘুরে মানুষের কাছ থেকে টাকা তুলতো। রিঙ্কু সর্দার নিজেই কর্মসংস্থান করে টাকা আয় করতেন। তার একটি বিঊটি পার্লার আছে । সে আরেকটি বিষয় নিয়ে কাজ করে সেটা হলো তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষের অধিকার আদায় এর জন্য একটা সংঘটন চালায়।

তবে ততোদিনে মানুষের চিন্তা ভাবনা পরিবর্তন শুরু হচ্ছিলো । সরকার এর বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ের মানুষ ও তাদের প্রতি বিভিন্ন সহায়তার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে। রিঙ্কু এর মধ্যে একটা কাজ করে ফেলে। সে তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের সন্তান্ দের জন্য একটা স্কুল অনুমোদন করিয়ে নেয়। সেখানে ইমনের মতো আরো অনেকে পড়াশুনা শুরু করে। তবে এতা চালু করা এতো সহজ ছিলো না প্রথমে পাড়া থকেই শিশুরা আসতে থাকে। আর আরেকটা সমস্যা হয় এই বাচ্চাদের কারা পড়াবে। সেখানে কিছু হৃদয়বান মানুষ এগিয়ে আসে।

এভাবেই ইমনদের এক বছর পড়ালেখা শেষ করে। ইতিমধ্যে সরকার একটি বিশেষ ঘোষণা দেয়। প্রত্যেক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এ তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের সন্তানদের জন্য ৫% সীট বরাদ্দ রাখতে হবে।

ইমনরা এই সুযোগে নতুন স্কুলে ভর্তি হয়। তবে এতে দিন ফেরে না তাদের। বরং এর চেয়ে কঠিন সংগ্রামে নামতে হয়। সবাই তাদের ভালো চোখে দেখে না। অনেক বাবা-মা সন্তানদের তাদের থেকে আলাদা থাকার শিক্ষা দেয়। তবে ধীরে ধীরে অনেক কিছু পরিবর্তন হতে থাকে।

ইমন এস.এস.সি এবং এইচ.এস.সি পাশ করে মেধা তালিকা থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তি হয়। এখানে এতো উচ্চশিক্ষিত মানুষের মাঝেও কিছু অমানুষ বাস করে। প্রথম বর্ষে সবার গনরুমে থাকতে হয়। ইমন ও গনরুমে উঠতে গেলে অনেকেই এই নিয়ে উচ্চবাক্য করে। কয়েকজন তো বলেই বসে ইমন থাকলে কেউ থাকবে না। ইমনের সাথে এই নিয়ে তর্ক হয় আর ইমনের গায়ে হাত তুলে ইমনকে বের করে দেয়। ইমন সেই রাত পুরোটাই বাহিরে শীতের মধ্যে বাহিরে কাটায়। এমন অনেক রাতই তার বাহিরে কাটাতে হয়। তবে তত দিনে ইমনের সব সহ্য হয়ে গিয়েছে।কয়েকবার তো সে পড়াশুনা ছেড়ে দিতে চেয়েছিলো। কিন্তু রিঙ্কু সর্দার তাকে বুঝিয়েছে। ইমন ই একমাত্র পারে সবাইকে দিখিয়ে দিতে তারা সমাজে সমস্যা না, সমাজের সম্পদ।

যেদিন ইমনের অনার্স এর চুড়ান্ত বর্ষের ফলাফল বের হয়েছে সেদিন থেকে ইমন প্রস্তুতি নিতে থাকে চাকুরি বাজারে পা দেয়ার। কিন্তু তার মাথায় ঘুরতে থাকে উথাল-পাতাল চিন্তা। শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে তো সরকারের আদেশ থাকায় তারা পড়ালেখার সুযোগ পেয়েছিলো কিন্তু চাকরির বাজারে তো তা নেই। আর ইমন পড়েছে ম্যানেজমেন্ট সাবজেক্ট নিয়ে। সে বেসরকারি চাকরির প্রস্তুতি নেয়। তবে অনেকদিন কনো সাড়া পায় না।

এর মধ্যে রিঙ্কু সর্দার পৃথিবী থেকে বিদায় নেয়। ইমন একা হয়ে পড়ে। তার উপর আর্থিক ভাবে সে বিপদে পড়ে। আবার ইমনের কত আশা ছিলো রিঙ্কু সর্দার এর আশা পুরণ করবে কিন্তু হলো না। একদিন হঠাৎ ব্লু-রাইস কর্পোরেশন লিমিটেড থেকে এম.টি.ও পোস্টের জন্য ইমন কল পায়।

ইমনের এটাই প্রথম অভিজ্ঞতা। সে নির্দিষ্ট দিনে উপস্থিত হয় এবং রিটেন পরীক্ষা দেয়। সবাই যেনো কেমন করে তার দিকে তাকাচ্ছিলো। কিন্তু কারো দিকে না তাকিয়ে পরীক্ষা দিতে থাকে। এক সাপ্তাহ পর আবার ফোন কল পায় এবং জানতে পারে সে মৌখিক পরীক্ষার জন্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছে। সে এতেই আনন্দিত হয় অনেক। তবু সে প্রস্তুতি নিতে থাকে। আবার নির্দিষ্ট দিনে সে উপস্থিত হয়। দুইজন পরেই ইমনের ভাইভা শুরু হয়।

সবাই আসলে অপেক্ষা করছিলো ইমনের জন্য। তারা শুধু কাগজ কলমেই ইমন কে দেখেছে। ইমন তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের জানার ফলেই তাদের এতো আগ্রহ। তার উপর সে লিখিতো পরীক্ষায় সর্বোচ্চ নাম্বারও পেয়েছে। তবে সবাই ইমনের লিঙ্গ কে খুব গুরুত্বের সাথে দেখে নি। ইমনের খুব ভালো লাগে পরিক্ষা দিয়ে।

ইমন আবার প্রস্তুতি নিতে থাকে। দশ দিন পর সে কাংখিত ফলাফলটি পায়। সেই প্রথম তৃতীয় লিঙ্গ এর মানুষ যে কর্পোরেট জগতে সুযোগ পেয়েছে। আজ রিঙ্কু সর্দার বেচে থাকলে কত খুশি হতো। ইমন যোগদান করার পর থেকে তার কাজে মনোযোগ দেয়। খুব দ্রুতোই সে তার কাজের মাধ্যমে তার বসের মন জয় করে নেয়। চার বছরের মধ্যে সে তার বিভাগের প্রাধান হয়। এভাবে ই সে আজ পঁচিশ বছরের মধ্যে এই কোম্পানির সি.ই.ও হতে পেরেছে।

ইমন রিঙ্কু সর্দার এর সেই সংঘঠন কে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যায়। তাদের দাবীতে সরকার চাকুরির ক্ষেত্রে তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের জন্য কোটা বরাদ্দ করে। আজ এমন অনেক ইমন বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন সেক্টরে রয়েছে। ইমনের চোখ দিয়ে পানি গড়িয়ে পড়ে।

_{This here is our piece de resistance. To promote engagement and a little self-branding, we have come up with an initiative that we simply called Featured. And we are very excited about this portion of the magazine.}

_{Every week, one talented author will have the opportunity to contribute a piece for the magazine while showcasing one of their best posts. The willing writers will have a chance to add a few words about any topic they choose and be a 25% beneficiary of the magazine.}

How to Get Featured

_{The first step is, you have to decide whether you want to get featured or not. Once you've made up your mind, you have to apply by submitting one of your articles from last week. We have a wiggle room for quality content if they are older than seven days. Choose the piece you deem to be your best work for the week, as this will play a significant role in you getting featured or not.}

Application Window

_{There will be a two-day period to submit your application. It must be submitted by dropping a link to your post in the #Featured-Magazine channel on the BDCommunity Discord Server. One author will be chosen randomly from all the submissions. The featured author for the week will be announced during the weekly voice meeting. They will then have two days for writing a piece and submit.}

_{The author who gets featured in the weekly magazine will be set as a 25% beneficiary, meaning 25% of the magazine's liquid payout will go to the featured author.}
