Wear a hat in the sun
A while back I posted some colour images of Holly and wondered what some other images from the shoot would look like in black and white. Some of them worked (I think) others didn't. I've posted some of the ones I thought worked here. I would be interested in what you think. I'm not going to go off on a rant, but some of the models I have worked with are so far away from professional, you wouldn't believe it.
Beach portrait #1
I really enjoy working with Holly, she's easy to get on with, extremely photogenic and, unlike some models I have worked with, looks after herself. She always comes with a lot of different outfits and is adept at changing covertly in public. It's an art in itself. And so quick.
Beach portrait #2
We hit the beach around 7:30pm, the sun was just thinking it was time for bed, so we had an hour or two of the most glorious light I can remember working with in a long time. The mono shots here obviously don't do the array of colours justice but I kind of think they still work.
Taking a breather
We pretty much had the beach to ourselves by the time we started so we were able to shoot around it a little, without any distractions (or people to clone out in post processing). We finished off the shoot in the dunes. An hour's trip back to Lincoln and then to start planning our next shoot.
In the dunes
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
