Madeiran Sunset
There is certainly something about sunsets. Other than the glorious colours they often create there is also something almost serene and peaceful about the sun setting each evening. Natures final salute of the day.

This sky, so full of drama, was almost like some end of the world movie. I thought we were in for a good storm, but no, it was just the sky putting on a show. You can understand why primitive humans interpreted all manner of different omens and tidings from dramatic sunsets.

I do like some of the African sunsets I've seen, the sun appears larger on the horizon and the wildlife seem to know that darkness is coming and a last flurry of noise seem to settle down for the evening.
