Once upon a time, I found myself trapped in a little box, but today, I’m free and ready to help others escape their own cages.
I’m Debbie Folarin—excited to be here, thanks to @kesolink for the warm recommendation! It’s a joy to begin this journey with you all.
𝗔 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲: I’m a motivational speaker, spoken word artist, and singer. I'm also a microbiology student in my semi-final year. My passion is to uplift spirits, inspire hope, and share stories that encourage resilience and growth. Through my voice and words, I aim to help people find the light in dark times and embrace their purpose.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲: I’m a suicide survivor. Haha, the enemy thought he had me, but Jesus said, "You’re mine!" A wise man once said, "Everyone is a motivational speaker until they experience it." Well, I’ve lived through some struggles, and now I’m here to help others break free and live lives full of joy, meaning, and purpose.

And of course, posts about my love for food, novels, and all things fun!
I’m a proud Nigerian from Ogun State (but I wish to claim Ekiti State because of the food... haha, who doesn’t love pounded yam?). I’m not just a foodie; I love cooking—trying new recipes, reading impactful novels that inspire me to change the world, and having meaningful conversations. Life is never boring around me—I ensure every interaction leaves a spark.
As an ambivert, I can be the quiet observer or the lively conversationalist, and I value growth. We’re going to grow together—believe that!
𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: I don’t love writing poems, but I’m a spoken word artist... How’s that even possible, right? Haha, I’m still building myself up—Rome wasn’t built in a day! Also, guess what? I just discovered this talent this year, and I'm screaming growth! I’ve already performed 3 spoken word pieces... Wait, just 3? Yup, one step at a time is progress, you know? 😉
One of my beliefs is: 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁. With effort, discipline, and faith, every dream is achievable. That’s the energy I bring here—possibilities, learning, and community.
And yassss, I’m a Christian! What do you think "Batya" means? It means Daughter of God, and I’m so proud to be one.
Well... it’s just a glimpse into my world. More posts and more about me will come, as we grow together.
I look forward to connecting with you all, learning from your stories, and sharing mine. Together, let’s grow, inspire, and make lasting impacts on one another.
Oh! And how could I forget? To the beautiful, brilliant minds who came together to create hive.blog, thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my world. I’m truly grateful for this space.
Whew! It’s time to spark!
