Here, on the Pacific beach in El Paradon, Guatemala, I was able to experience how turtles hatch and are then released so that they have a greater chance of surviving. Unfortunately, it is allowed to look for eggs here in Guatemala. That's why the Driftwood Hostel started a few years ago to buy the eggs from locals and then hatch them in a controlled manner and then release them with tourists. What a unique experience it was to see the little ones on their first few meters as they go into the ocean and then come back to the same place where they were born and also lay their eggs there for a new generation.
