great article. It was a wonderful film. I absolutely loved it. And the reasons you just stated go even further to bolster my appreciation of it. It was so human. Thats how I felt and yes, how horribly let down he was, and the feeling that any support, from somewhere at least (right down to the mother on the bus!) could have been enough to avert complete catastophe. It is a desperately sad depiction of how a person can be destroyed by everyday cruelty in all its seemingly harmless guises. Im sorry you had to go through such a shocking episode yourself and glad you managed to find the right support to navigate throuh it. We are all only a few failings away from shipwreck and our modern social structures mean that many spiral in to abandon before anyone even notices.
