I see lots of Steemit accounts with lots of followers but their posts make very little rewards. I have been asking myself why is that for a while now. All I can come up with is that there are a lot of dead followers or the followers you have are only interested in one post they see so they follow and then never upvote you again.

It just might be that our followers, follow so many people that they can not keep up with all the posts and they slip through the cracks because the feed is so full and they fall to the bottom because they were busy and missed it. This is the importance of the resteem option.

If I see a post that is 12 hours or so old and is a long way down in my feed I try to resteem it so my followers can get a chance to see it again. Many of us follow the same people and it will help others to see a missed post. I know there are many of our followers that follow us just hoping for a follow back and they never comment and sometimes never even read our posts and upvote.
Many of you but a lot of time into your posts. In the thought process and the pictures, it takes time if you are doing something to stop and get the camera and shoot a picture. A video really takes some time with the editing and the uploading and getting it all just right.
My people get discouraged when they put time and effort into making a post and it does not even get 10 views and no one comments, then definitely there will be now upvotes. I know I do and it is hard to keep on posting here on Steemit. It is really bad when you see a one sentence post and it has lots of views and a ton of comments and the rewards are really awesome. You wonder what are they doing that I am not and you do not see any real differences between the two blogs except you are not posting one or two sentence posts.

We all ask ourselves why is Steemit like this? I do not have an answer for you, or for myself on this question. All I can tell you is just keep posting do not give up because sooner or later you will get noticed and start doing well on Steemit. That is what I keep saying to myself and I keep on going. I have been having some struggles on Steemit, as well as on our little homestead, I just do what I have to and keep on plugging along. The bigger channels will never really notice you but with a lot of small channels, we can make a difference, that is what I am hoping for anyway.
