Wild Alaskan Iris

Found out front, not noticed til going for a Sunday drive backing out of the driveway. It was a pretty nice day. We generally get to see a lot of the old classic cars on the road on the fourth of July, but things were a bit different this year.

We saw one old refinished truck that drove by and that was it, to fast for my wife to get a picture, though she may have caught it, at this time I am not sure. Yesterday we saw a few older cars, and a lot of motor bikes out and about, I guess most people were where they wanted to be for the forth of July outing.

All was not lost though on nice finds. When we got home I remembered the Iris and used my smart phone to get a few pictures. In all I took four, and only two really came out, the other two were blurry. It was pretty bright out and it was all a guesstimate on taking the pictures as I could not really see what was on the screen.

Not very easy taking pictures when you reall can not see what you are looking at, so I was pretty happy these two shots came out pretty well.

I need to go on a yard walk and show some of the other wild flowers we have, perhaps another day.
