A Bit of the Wild Side

It is summer here in Alaska we hit the mid to upper 60's over the weekend. I can actually see dandelions now in our yard. We seem to be the last place to get them, but the last batch of thunderstorms over us gave them the strength to burst forth. Sorry no dandelion pictures yet though.

I think I will start with the Wild Side:
This was on rambunctious little guy. Just behind the momma moose we have an area of small spruce trees, he was just a-chargin around that patch of little trees like a Russian Stepp Pony, it was so fun to just watch him. Momma Moose had a hard time keeping that little guy under control. Photo was taken on 5-30 at 9:13 pm Alaska Time.
Nikon D7500 camera settings f/4.8 - 1/320 sec - ISO 10000 - and focal length 130 mm.

Friday the day before we had stuff to do and then we went and hunted a few photo ops. Mt Redoubt was one of them, even though it was in the wrong direction for light and a bit of has I think some of the editing help make it a usable picture.

I really need to get up early one of these mornings to go get an early morning shot verse an early evening shot. This is the view from down by the cannery where we like to try and get some water fowl shots, no birds that day, well not many, there are always seagulls around. For a change there was not a lot of haze over the water so I was able to get a pretty decent shot of Redoubt.
